The OBX Marathon and Half Marathon is now just three weeks away. This means that most of you marathoners have just begun your taper, and half marathoners will most likely begin theirs next week. It is hard to believe it is just around the corner!
We should have a pretty solid list of who is making the trip to OBX now. If you still have not made a decision. . . it is probably time that you do. Please post here if you are running. Let us know which race, and where you are staying too.

The Hartney's will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. Jeff is running the full and Travis is running the half. Levi Moore is also sharing a room with us and is running the full. See you at the Outer Banks.
I am running the "full" marathon, and Tampa is running the "half". We are staying at the Cavalier Motel--it's on the ocean, close to the Wright Brothers Memorial. Here is a link to the OBX Chamber of Commerce Hotels. I used it to find our accommodations.

Count me in for the full. I am still considering where to stay - nothing like waiting 'til the last minute, eh!

I'm running the half and I have some family from Goldsboro also running. Frances and I are staying at a condo in Kill Devil Hills, there are some good off-season rates if you check the realtors.
Does anyone want to get together for dinner the Sat. before? We're thinking maybe the Black Pelican, it should be easy to find some runner friendly food on that menu. Mako Mikes may be a little more kid friendly.

I think I will run the City of Oaks 1/2 marathon instead (which is the Sunday before OBX) in Raleigh. But the Forresters could still be represented at OBX. Mr. Forrester, any decisions yet?
